Leicester City vs Brighton: A Tale of Two Halves
The match between Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion was a tale of two halves, with the visitors dominating the first half and the home side coming out on top in the second.
Brighton took the lead in the 19th minute when Neal Maupay converted a penalty after Marc Albrighton had brought down Aaron Connolly in the box. The visitors continued to press and could have extended their lead before the break, but they were denied by some fine saves from Kasper Schmeichel.
Leicester came out with more purpose in the second half and equalised in the 52nd minute when James Maddison curled a free-kick into the top corner. The Foxes continued to push and took the lead in the 75th minute when Jamie Vardy headed in a cross from Ben Chilwell.
Brighton pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages but were unable to find a way through the Leicester defence. The Foxes held on to secure a vital three points.
The win moved Leicester up to 11th in the Premier League table, while Brighton remained in 15th.
