Leicester Nerenberg's Amazing Adventure with the Tooth Fairy
Leicester Nerenberg was a little boy who had always been afraid of the Tooth Fairy.
But one night, when Leicester lost his first tooth, he was determined to be brave. He put his tooth under his pillow and went to bed, hoping that the Tooth Fairy would bring him a gift.
As he lay in bed, Leicester couldn't help but feel scared. He was afraid that the Tooth Fairy would be a giant monster with sharp teeth. But as he closed his eyes, he began to hear a soft sound. It was like the sound of tiny wings fluttering.
Leicester opened his eyes and gasped. There, in front of him, was the Tooth Fairy! She was a beautiful woman with long, flowing hair and sparkling wings. She was carrying a tiny wand and a small bag of gold coins.
"Hello, Leicester," said the Tooth Fairy. "I'm here to collect your tooth."
Leicester was so surprised that he couldn't speak. He just handed the Tooth Fairy his tooth, and she put it in her bag.
"Thank you, Leicester," said the Tooth Fairy. "Here's a gift for you."
The Tooth Fairy handed Leicester a gold coin. Leicester was so happy! He had never seen a real gold coin before.
"Thank you," said Leicester. "You're not a monster at all!"
The Tooth Fairy smiled. "I'm glad you think so," she said. "Now, I must be going. I have many other teeth to collect tonight. Goodbye, Leicester."
And with that, the Tooth Fairy flew away out the window. Leicester watched her go, and then he closed his eyes and went back to sleep. He knew that he would never be afraid of the Tooth Fairy again.
From that night on, Leicester always looked forward to losing his teeth. He knew that the Tooth Fairy would always bring him a gift, and he loved to hear her beautiful voice.
One day, when Leicester was in the second grade, he lost his two front teeth. He was so excited! He couldn't wait to tell the Tooth Fairy all about it. That night, he put his teeth under his pillow and went to bed.
When Leicester woke up the next morning, he found two gold coins under his pillow. He was so happy! He ran downstairs to show his mom and dad.
"Look what the Tooth Fairy brought me!" he said. "Two gold coins!"
His mom and dad were so proud of Leicester. They told him that he was a good boy and that he deserved the Tooth Fairy's gifts.
Leicester Nerenberg never forgot the Tooth Fairy. She was always a special part of his childhood, and he always looked forward to losing his teeth. He knew that the Tooth Fairy would always bring him joy and happiness.
