LG-like baseball...the secret to the batting lineup's success



The LG Twins used their hot hitting to secure the win.


The Twins won their home game against the NC Dinos 11-4 on Thursday at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul, South Korea.


LG won its second straight game and improved to 27-2-2 on the season. NC lost its second straight game. Their season record is now 27-1-1 and 22-22.


LG started with Hong Chang-ki (center fielder), Moon Sung-joo (right fielder), Kim Hyun-soo (left fielder), Austin Dean (first baseman), Park Dong-won (designated hitter), Moon Bo-kyung (third baseman), Oh Ji-hwan (shortstop), Goo Bon-hyuk (second baseman), and Heo Do-hwan (catcher).


The offense came out hot from the start. NC scored one run in the top of the first inning and answered with four runs in the bottom of the first. An infield single by Hong Chang-ki, a single by Moon Sung-joo, and a walk by Kim Hyun-soo loaded the bases, followed by an RBI double by Austin. Park Dong-won was hit by a pitch, but Moon Bo-kyung singled and Koo Bon-hyuk followed with an RBI double to make it 4-1.

 

They gave up another run in the top of the second, but Austin's sacrifice fly with runners on first and third in the bottom of the inning made it a three-run game, and in the top of the third, Koo Bon-hyuk's sacrifice fly with runners on 먹튀검증 second and third and RBI singles by Hong Chang-ki and Moon Sung-joo made it 8-2.


In the bottom of the fourth inning, Park Dong-won hit a two-run home run. Park added another home run in the seventh inning.

 

While the offense has been hot, the pitching staff has also been strong. Choi Won-tae earned his sixth win of the season with a quality start (6+ innings pitched, 3 earned runs or less). 1st in wins.


Choi was followed by Kim Yoo-young (1 inning of scoreless relief), Kim Dae-hyun (1 inning of scoreless relief), and Jin Woo-young (1 inning of scoreless relief) to preserve the win.


After the game, LG manager Yoon Kyung-yup said, "Choi Won-tae was off-balance early on. He took charge of his inning and did a great job as a starter even though he was in a bad situation," said LG coach Yoon Kyung-yup.

 

"Early in the game, Hong Chang-ki and Moon Sung-joo had three hits to open the scoring, and Austin and Koo Bon-hyuk had three RBIs to make it easy. When we needed extra runs, Park Dong-won sealed the win with a back-to-back home run."
