Listen Out

There’s a concert in the park, with a symphony orchestra playing. I can hear it from my apartment, and I’m tempted to go down and listen.

But I’m tired. I’ve been working all day, and I just want to relax. I could just listen to the music from my apartment, but it’s not the same. There’s something special about being there, in the crowd, surrounded by other people who are enjoying the music.

I decide to go. I put on my shoes and head down to the park.

The concert is already in progress. I can hear the orchestra playing a beautiful piece of music. I walk into the park and find a spot to sit down.

I close my eyes and listen to the music. It’s so beautiful. I feel myself relax and all my stress melt away.

I open my eyes and look around. I see people of all ages, sitting and listening to the music. There are families with young children, couples on dates, and elderly people who look like they’ve been coming to this concert for years.

I smile. I’m so glad I decided to come. This is exactly what I needed.

The concert ends and the crowd applauds. I stand up and stretch. I feel refreshed and energized.

I walk back to my apartment, humming the tune that the orchestra played. I’m so glad I decided to go to the concert. It was the perfect way to end my day.

If you’re ever feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I encourage you to go to a concert. It’s a great way to relax and de-stress. And who knows, you might just discover a new favorite piece of music.
