Growing up in a drag racing family, Lizzy was immersed in the sport from an early age. But it wasn't until she took the wheel that she discovered her true calling.
"There's nothing quite like the thrill of accelerating from 0 to 300 miles per hour in a matter of seconds," Lizzy says with a grin. "It's a rush that's hard to describe."
Despite her natural talent, Lizzy's journey has not been without challenges. As a woman in a male-dominated sport, she has often faced skepticism and discrimination."People used to tell me that I couldn't handle the power of a dragster because I was a girl," Lizzy recalls. "But I refused to let those comments hold me back."
With unwavering determination, Lizzy proved her doubters wrong time and time again. In 2015, she became the first woman to win a Pro Street championship in the prestigious NHRA series.But Lizzy's accomplishments extend far beyond her own success. As a role model for young women, she is passionate about breaking down barriers and inspiring others to pursue their dreams.
"I want to show girls that anything is possible," Lizzy says. "If you have a passion for something, don't let anyone tell you you can't do it."
Off the track, Lizzy is an equally formidable force. She uses her platform to promote STEM education and encourage young people to explore careers in the automotive industry.Lizzy's story is a testament to the power of perseverance, courage, and the unwavering belief in oneself.
