Mr. Van Daan or Hermann van Pels

Hermann van Pels or Mr. van Daan was born in March 31, 1898, Gehrde, Germany. He was the father of Peter van Pels and he was the husband of Auguste van Pels or Mrs. van Daan. He was living with the Frank family in the Annex until they had got caught and sent to Camp Auschwitz. He too made the long journey by train to Auschwitz, and once there, he was separated from his wife, whom he never saw again. Later He dies in the gas chambers at Auschwitz in October or November of 1994.

 Hermann was a chain-smoking joker with a great understanding of politics. His mom was Lina Vorsänger van Pels and his dad was Aaron van Pels. His dad was born in the Netherlands and died December 1941. Hermann had multiple  sisters by the names of Meta van Pels, Ida van Pels, Klara van Pels and Henny van Pels. Hermann also had a brother by the name of Max van Pels.
