Major-winning rookie Yoo Hyun-jo climbs 86 spots to No. 86 in women's golf world rankings

Rookie Hyun-jo Yoo has moved into the top 100 in the world rankings after winning her first career title at the KB Financial Star Championship, a major on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour.

Yoo is now ranked 86th in the Women's Golf World Rankings, which were released on Tuesday. She jumped a whopping 86 spots from 172nd last week.

Yoo started the year at No. 753 in January and dropped as low as No. 777 at one point, but she quickly climbed up the rankings after leading the KLPGA Tour's Rookie of the Year race to crack the top 100.

Another standout in the women's golf world rankings is Yoon In Na at No. 42.

She moved up eight spots from 50th last week. Her third-place finish at the KB Financial Star Championship helped her jump up the rankings.

She is the ninth-highest ranked Korean player and fourth on the KLPGA Tour after Lee Ye-won, Park Ji-young and Park Hyun-kyung.

Yoon was ranked 422nd in April when she returned to the KLPGA Tour after a one-and-a-half-year suspension, but she has risen quickly.

Ko Jin-jin dropped one spot from last week to No. 5, while Yang Hee-young remained at No. 6. Hae Ran Hwang (11th) and Hyo Joo Kim (17th) remain unchanged.

Nelly Korda, Lilia Boo (USA) and Lydia Ko (NZL) remained at No. 1 through No. 3, with no major changes due to the lack of LPGA Tour events.  파워볼게임
