Man City vs Copenhagen: City Dominates, Securing Convincing Win

Man City continued their impressive run of form in the Champions League with a resounding victory over Copenhagen. The match was a one-sided affair, with the Citizens showcasing their attacking prowess and defensive solidity.

The game started brightly for City, with Erling Haaland opening the scoring in just seven minutes. The Norwegian striker displayed his clinical finishing once again, tapping in a cross from Jack Grealish. City doubled their lead 15 minutes later when Riyad Mahrez converted a penalty, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Copenhagen looked to respond, but their efforts were constantly thwarted by the City defense. Manuel Akanji and Nathan Aké formed an impenetrable partnership at the heart of the backline, nullifying the threat of Viktor Claesson and Nicolai Jørgensen.

The second half saw more of the same as City continued to press forward. Rodri played a pivotal role in the midfield, orchestrating City's attacks with his silky passing. Kevin De Bruyne was also in fine form, providing numerous chances for his teammates.

Copenhagen's resistance finally broke in the 55th minute when Phil Foden curled home a beautiful goal from the edge of the box. The young Englishman has been in scintillating form this season and showed his class once again.

Substitute Julian Alvarez capped off the scoring for City in the 76th minute, heading in a pinpoint cross from João Cancelo. The Argentine striker has been a valuable addition to the City squad, providing depth and quality in attack.

The 5-0 victory sees Man City move top of Group G, with two wins from two matches. They will be confident of qualifying for the knockout stages when they travel to face Copenhagen in the reverse fixture on October 11th.
