Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Margrie Zenzano who couldn't sleep. She would lie in her bed for hours, counting sheep, staring at the ceiling, and thinking about all the things she had to do the next day. But no matter what she did, she just couldn't fall asleep.
One night, Margrie's parents decided to take her to the doctor. The doctor examined her and asked her all sorts of questions. Finally, he said, "Margrie, I think you have a case of insomnia."
Margrie was confused. "Insomnia?" she asked. "What's that?"
"Insomnia is a condition where people have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep," the doctor explained. "It can be caused by a lot of things, like stress, anxiety, or depression."
Margrie nodded. "I think I might have stress," she said. "I'm always worried about school and my friends and my family. I never feel like I'm good enough."
The doctor smiled. "That's okay, Margrie," he said. "I'm going to give you some medicine to help you sleep. And I want you to try to relax more. Take some time for yourself each day to do things you enjoy, like reading or playing with your friends.
Margrie took the doctor's advice. She started taking the medicine and she made an effort to relax more. She started reading every night before bed and she made time to play with her friends every day.
