The workshop on Web 2.0 and the interactive learning experience has been eye-opening to say the least. As I am part of a younger generation who was lucky enough to be exposed to new technologies from an early age, even I was surprised at how little I knew. I was blown away by the number of applications available to aid lecturers in the teaching and learning experience and could visualise how valuable they will become in tomorrows classrooms.
To be honest I felt intimidated and a little nervous at the thought of how I would use each of these new tools and devices effectively. Would students and peers embrace them? Would they see the value as I have and would I be able to use them in a way that was productive. The thought of a change in our learning environment is a scary one but I am excited by the possibilities as well as the challenges. In the end both student and teacher will learn and all we have to do to make it work is try. Thanks for the eye-opener
