It was a beautiful summer day, and Mati Stellpflug was feeling confident. She had just gotten a new haircut and was wearing her favorite outfit. She was walking down the street when she saw her crush, Jake.

Mati Stellpflug's heart was racing. She couldn't believe she was actually talking to her crush.

Mati Stellpflug and Jake chatted for a while longer, and then Jake walked Mati Stellpflug to her bus stop. As Mati Stellpflug got on the bus, she couldn’t help but smile. She had just had the best day of her life.
The next day, Mati Stellpflug was walking to school when she saw Jake again. He was walking with his friends, and they were all laughing and joking.

“You have a booger on your face,” Jake said.
Mati Stellpflug’s face turned red. She quickly wiped her face, but it was too late. Jake and his friends were all laughing at her.
Mati Stellpflug wanted to die. She couldn’t believe this was happening to her.
Mati Stellpflug ran away from Jake and his friends. She ran all the way home and locked herself in her room.
Mati Stellpflug cried for hours. She couldn’t believe how embarrassing it was.
The next day, Mati Stellpflug didn’t go to school. She was too ashamed to face Jake and his friends.
On Monday, Mati Stellpflug finally went back to school. As she walked into the cafeteria, she could feel everyone staring at her.
Mati Stellpflug tried to ignore them, but it was hard. She could hear people whispering and laughing.
“She’s the girl with the booger on her face,” someone said.
Mati Stellpflug wanted to cry, but she held back. She walked to her table and sat down.
Mati Stellpflug’s friends were all there, and they gave her a hug.
“It’s okay, Mati Stellpflug,” one of her friends said. “We all have embarrassing moments.”
Mati Stellpflug smiled. She knew her friends were right. Even though it was embarrassing, she could laugh about it now.
