Matt Peacock




Matt Peacock, the former ABC journalist and author, has passed away at the age of 72 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Peacock was a highly respected and experienced journalist who worked for a range of programs and was the broadcaster's foreign correspondent in London, Washington, and Jerusalem.
He was also a talented author, writing several books including "Killer Company: Coca-Cola's Deadly Secret" and "The Peacock Papers".
Peacock's death is a sad loss for the journalism community and for all those who enjoyed his work. He will be remembered as a passionate and dedicated journalist who always fought for the truth.

Peacock was born in Sydney in 1951 and began his journalism career with The Sydney Morning Herald. He joined the ABC in 1979 and quickly became one of the broadcaster's most prominent journalists.

Peacock's work was often controversial, but he was always unafraid to speak his mind. He was a strong advocate for the public's right to know and was not afraid to challenge those in power. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Peacock is survived by his wife, Jenny, and two children.
