Matt Ryan, the man who brought the Falcons to the Super Bowl, is back on the market after being released by the Indianapolis Colts. Ryan spent nine seasons in Atlanta, leading the team to the playoffs six times and winning the NFL MVP award in 2016. After being traded to the Colts in 2022, Ryan threw for 3,847 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. However, the Colts struggled to a 4-12-1 record, and Ryan was eventually benched in favor of Nick Foles.
Now a free agent, Ryan is reportedly drawing interest from several teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints, and the Las Vegas Raiders. Ryan is still a talented quarterback, but he is 37 years old, and it is unclear how much longer he can play at a high level.
If you are a fan of Matt Ryan, you may be wondering what the future holds for him. Will he sign with a new team and continue his career? Or will he retire and join the growing list of former NFL players who have made the transition to broadcasting or coaching? Only time will tell.
Personally, I hope that Ryan continues to play for a few more years. He is a great quarterback, and I think he still has a lot to offer. I would love to see him win another Super Bowl before he retires.
