Meet Yenisey Deveza, the Girl Who Loved the Night Sky!

Once upon a time, there lived a little girl named Yenisey Deveza. She had beautiful, big, curious eyes and loved to stare up at the night sky. Every night, she would sit in her backyard and watch the stars twinkle. She wondered where they came from, what they were made of, and if they had names.
One night, as Yenisey Deveza was stargazing, she saw a shooting star. She quickly made a wish. She wished that one day she could fly up into the sky and touch the stars.
Yenisey Deveza told this wish to her parents, and they smiled.
“Yenisey,” her mother said, “you can’t fly up and touch the stars, but you can learn about them.”
Her father nodded. “You can read books, look through a telescope, and even visit a planetarium. There’s so much to learn about the stars.”
Yenisey Deveza was excited. She loved to read, and she couldn’t wait to learn more about the stars.
She started by reading books about astronomy. She learned about the different constellations, the planets in our solar system, and the galaxies beyond.
Then, she visited a planetarium. She was amazed by the giant screen that showed her the night sky. She could see all the stars, planets, and galaxies that she had read about in her books.
The more she learned, the more she wanted to know.
“I want to be an astronomer,” Yenisey Deveza told her parents.
They smiled and said, “We know you will, Yenisey.”
Yenisey Deveza worked hard in school. She studied science and math and always volunteered for projects related to astronomy.
When she was old enough, she went to college and studied astronomy.
Yenisey Deveza became a famous astronomer. She discovered new planets, stars, and galaxies. She wrote books and gave lectures about her research.
She even got to work with NASA on a mission to Mars.
Yenisey Deveza never forgot her wish to touch the stars. And even though she knew she couldn’t literally do that, she felt like she had in a way.
By learning about the stars and sharing her knowledge with others, she felt like she was bringing the stars a little bit closer to everyone.
