Mike Pence: The Inside Story

Mike Pence, the former Vice President of the United States, has been making headlines lately. But who is he, really? What's his story?

Pence was born in Columbus, Indiana, in 1959. He graduated from Hanover College and Indiana University School of Law. After working as a lawyer, he entered politics, serving in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013 and as the Governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017.

In 2016, Pence was chosen by Donald Trump to be his running mate. The two won the election, and Pence became Vice President in January 2017.

Pence's time as Vice President was marked by controversy. He was a close ally of Trump, and he often defended Trump's policies, even when they were unpopular. He also made a number of gaffes, such as when he accidentally referred to himself as "President Pence."

Pence left office in January 2021. He has since written a book about his time as Vice President, and he has been giving speeches and making media appearances.
