MMDA holiday coding suspension

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced the suspension of the number coding scheme in Metro Manila during the holiday season.

The suspension will be in effect on the following days:

• December 24, 2024 (Christmas Eve)
• December 25, 2024 (Christmas Day)
• December 30, 2024 (Rizal Day)
• December 31, 2024 (New Year's Eve)
• January 1, 2025 (New Year's Day)

The suspension of the number coding scheme is intended to ease traffic congestion during the holiday season, when many people are traveling to and from their hometowns.

The MMDA advises motorists to plan their trips accordingly and to avoid driving during peak hours.

The MMDA also reminds motorists that other traffic rules and regulations remain in effect during the holiday season.
