Moghalu

The presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, has introduced Kingsley Moghalu as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.

Kachikwu made the announcement on Friday in Abuja at the unveiling of Moghalu as his running mate.

Moghalu is a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and a professor of political economy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

He is also a former presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2019 presidential election.

In his acceptance speech, Moghalu said he accepted the offer to be Kachikwu's running mate because he believes in the ADC's vision for Nigeria.

He said the ADC is the only party that has a clear plan for restructuring Nigeria and for creating a new Nigeria.

Moghalu said he and Kachikwu will work together to create a new Nigeria that is prosperous, just, and equitable.

"We will work together to build a Nigeria where everyone has a fair chance to succeed, regardless of their tribe, religion, or political affiliation," he said.

Kachikwu said he chose Moghalu as his running mate because he is a man of integrity, competence, and experience.
He said Moghalu is also a man who shares his vision for a new Nigeria.

"Moghalu is a man who has dedicated his life to serving Nigeria," Kachikwu said.
"He is a man who has the intellect, the experience, and the passion to lead Nigeria to greatness."

The ADC is one of the 18 political parties that will be contesting the 2023 presidential election.
The party was founded in 2005 and has never won a presidential election.
However, the party is hoping to make a strong showing in the 2023 election with the candidacy of Kachikwu and Moghalu.
