NATIONAL EXPRESS VAN LINES SUCKS

Events

Today is January 27th, 2019 and I've been living a nightmare with this company since January 8th, 2019. I moved from Indianapolis, Indiana to Denver, Colorado. My belongings were promised to be delivered on the 25th of January. I still don't have them. I don't believe I'll ever see them again.

I made the mistake of trusting moving.com, which sent me movers who would give me multiple estimates. Well, James, my relocation advisor for National Express Van Lines lied his butt off promising he would ensure my move would be perfect. He also swore all the negative Yelp reviews were not from HIS company, but from another company because they're not a broker or whatever.... I see multiple people on the Yelp! site were also told the same exact things. I also see fake reviews which are all 5 stars and no way can be from the same company----no specifics were provided and pictures don't look like anything like the movers I had in the positive reviews. https://www.yelp.com/biz/national-express-van-lines-miami

Also, keep in mind when you claim you are a mover, you shouldn't be showing up in a rental truck either, which is another sign of a fraudulent moving company. They showed up in a Penske rental truck. Everything about this company was based on fraud. I have no idea if they put inventory stickers on my things either because I was never given any documents stating this information, nor was I a part of the inventory process. That gives them the opportunity to take everything.

First off, they showed up 2 days late. I had no idea when they'd show up because no one would tell me. I called numerous times and got probably at least 10 different times quoted. On the day they were supposed to pick me up, the driver drove well past me to Gary, Indiana instead for some reason. I was never told why and given excuses. This company operates on lies and fraud. They should be out of business because what they do is illegal.

They never use credit cards either, just checks or money orders. I had to provide a check to them of $430.81 before anything could be done. They didn't see my belongings but gave an estimate over the phone for $1600. After they loaded my belongings, they then made me pay $1157.55 and said my original estimate was going to be much higher than originally stated. It was going to be $4288.36 instead of $1600! They don't take charge cards, so this seems like fraud. They also showed up in a Penske moving truck. For a 2 bedroom apartment with minimal furniture it took them 7 hours to load my belongings because they disappeared for 4 hours. On the Bill of Lading contract I signed, the 25th is written down for the delivery also, but they've already reniged on that part of the contract. I've contacted them twice today (Sunday the 27th and yes they are open) and they have no idea where my things are. I was told to call tomorrow. The maximum amount of time (which I was told by a representative on January 26th via the phone) they had to deliver my belongings is 10 days. It's been 11 days now.

On Yelp, I've also noticed comments from Daniela S. from National Express Van Lines, who claims to be the owner, is making comments online. Many of Daniela's comments are to people with negative experiences stating they used a different company, not National Express Van Lines. The relocation advisor, James (786-320-1364) said the same thing to me when I told him I noticed there were many negative reviews. He convinced me it was with another company and not to worry that he would make sure the move would be perfect and I would be in contact with him throughout the entire move. That was all a lie. Once he had my money, I never heard back from James. I reached out to him numerous times to find out where my movers were for the pickup, with no response from him. I had to call the 1800 number for the company and they didn't know either. Eventually the driver would call and gave me a date and time which was always wrong. I also clicked on Daniela's picture on Yelp and found it to be a black man with a comment on the picture about 'Let's Make National Express Great Again!' which seems like it's an overt insult to the customers who were scammed. Daniela is a black man who claims to be the owner? I couldn't find any proof of this owner on Yelp. I believe all the 5-star reviews are fake, especially since my relocation advisor knew exactly what to say about them. I looked through all the other reviews on Yelp and found that many people were lied to the way I was and went through the exact same situation I endured. Some people wrote complaints about not receiving their things for MONTHS. Am I not going to receive my things for months? I moved here to find work. I am surviving on the few thousands I have in the bank. I can't afford this bait and switch this company did to me.
