The Wolfpack and the Gamecocks are set to face off in a highly anticipated ACC matchup this weekend. Both teams are coming off of big wins in their last outings, so this game is sure to be a close one.
The Wolfpack are 4-1 this season, with their only loss coming to Clemson in the season opener. Since then, NC State has rattled off four straight wins, including a 27-14 victory over Virginia Tech last week.
NC State's offense is led by quarterback Devin Leary, who has thrown for 1,145 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. The running game is also solid, with Ricky Person Jr. averaging 5.4 yards per carry.
On defense, the Wolfpack are led by linebacker Isaiah Moore, who has 31 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season. The secondary is also playing well, with cornerback Shyheim Battle leading the team with three interceptions.
The Gamecocks are 3-2 this season, with their losses coming to Georgia and Kentucky. South Carolina is coming off a big win over East Carolina last week, in which they scored 56 points.
South Carolina's offense is led by quarterback Spencer Rattler, who has thrown for 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns this season. The running game is also solid, with Kevin Harris averaging 5.6 yards per carry.
On defense, the Gamecocks are led by linebacker Sherrod Greene, who has 29 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season. The secondary is also playing well, with cornerback Marcellas Dial leading the team with two interceptions.
This is a tough game to call, but I think NC State will win by a narrow margin. The Wolfpack have a more experienced quarterback and a better defense. I think they will be able to make enough plays to win the game.
