Neako Crespim and the Day the Chickens Came Home to Roost
Neako Crespim was a man who loved his animals. He had a dog, a cat, a rabbit, and even a pet pig. But his favorite animals were his chickens. He had a whole coop full of them, and he would spend hours watching them scratch and peck in the dirt.
One day, Neako came home from work to find his chickens missing. He searched high and low, but they were nowhere to be found. He was heartbroken.
"Where could they be?" Neako wondered. "They must have wandered off, but where?"
Neako spent the next few days searching for his chickens. He asked his neighbors, he put up posters, and he even went on social media. But no one had seen his chickens.
Just when Neako was about to give up hope, he got a call from a neighbor who lived a few blocks away.
"Neako, is this you?" the neighbor asked. "I think I found your chickens."
Neako rushed over to his neighbor's house, and there they were. His chickens were all safe and sound.
"Thank you so much," Neako said. "I'm so glad I found them."
Neako's neighbor explained that he had seen the chickens wandering around in his backyard. He had tried to catch them, but they were too fast.
"They're like little ninjas," the neighbor said. "They can move so quickly."
Neako laughed. "I know," he said. "They're always getting into mischief."
Neako took his chickens home and put them back in their coop. He was so relieved to have them back.
"I'm never going to let them out of my sight again," Neako said.
But the next day, Neako woke up to find his chickens missing again.
"Oh no, not again," Neako groaned. "Where did they go?"
Neako searched high and low, but he couldn't find his chickens anywhere. He was starting to think that they had run away for good.
Just when Neako was about to give up hope, he heard a noise coming from the backyard. He went to investigate, and there they were. His chickens were all sitting on the fence, looking at him.
"Well, I'll be," Neako said. "I guess they just wanted a little adventure."
Neako opened the gate and let his chickens back into the coop. He was so happy to have them back.
"I'm never going to let you out of my sight again," Neako said. "Not even for a minute."
But the next day, Neako woke up to find his chickens missing again.
"This is getting ridiculous," Neako said. "Where do they keep going?"
Neako searched high and low, but he couldn't find his chickens anywhere. He was starting to think that they had been stolen.
Just when Neako was about to call the police, he heard a noise coming from the neighbor's house. He went to investigate, and there they were. His chickens were all sitting on the neighbor's fence, looking at him.
"I'll be darned," Neako said. "I guess they just like to visit their friends."
Neako opened the gate and let his chickens back into the coop. He was so happy to have them back.
"I'm never going to let you out of my sight again," Neako said. "Not even for a minute."
But the next day, Neako woke up to find his chickens missing again.
"This is it," Neako said. "I'm going to sell these chickens. I can't take it anymore."
But just as Neako was about to put up a for sale sign, he heard a noise coming from the backyard. He went to investigate, and there they were. His chickens were all sitting on the fence, looking at him.
"What is it with you guys?" Neako asked. "Why do you keep running away?"
The chickens just looked at Neako and clucked.
Neako sighed. "I guess I'll never know," he said.
Neako opened the gate and let his chickens back into the coop. He knew that they were trouble, but he loved them anyway.
"I'm never going to let you out of my sight again," Neako said. "Not even for a minute."
But the next day, Neako woke up to find his chickens missing again.
