New Covid Variant Symptoms

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to evolve, so do the variants of the virus. The latest variant, known as XEC, has been detected in several countries and is believed to be more transmissible than previous variants.
While the symptoms of XEC are similar to those of other Covid-19 variants, there are a few key differences. The most common symptoms of XEC include:

  • Fever or chills

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Sore throat

  • Congestion or runny nose

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Fatigue

In addition to these symptoms, some people with XEC have also reported experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It is important to note that not everyone who is infected with XEC will experience all of these symptoms. Some people may only have a few mild symptoms, while others may have more severe symptoms that require hospitalization.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, it is important to get tested as soon as possible. Early diagnosis and treatment can help to improve your chances of a full recovery.
