New England Revolution Defeat Inter Miami

The New England Revolution handed Inter Miami its first loss of the season on Saturday, winning 6-2 at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Gustavo Bou gave the Revs an early lead in the 12th minute, and Teal Bunbury doubled the advantage in the 25th minute. Inter Miami pulled one back through Gonzalo Higuaín in the 35th minute, but Bou restored the two-goal lead just before halftime.

The Revs continued to control the game in the second half, with Carles Gil scoring in the 55th minute and Adam Buksa adding another in the 75th minute. Higuaín scored his second goal of the game in the 85th minute, but it was too little, too late for Inter Miami.

The win moved the Revs into first place in the Eastern Conference with 16 points, while Inter Miami dropped to third place with 13 points.

The Revs will look to continue their winning ways when they host FC Cincinnati on Saturday, while Inter Miami will look to bounce back when they travel to face the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday.

The Revs will host FC Cincinnati on Saturday, while Inter Miami will travel to face the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday.
