Niall o Donnghaile: A Political Journey




Early Life and Political Beginnings
Niall o Donnghaile was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1985. He became involved in politics from a young age, joining Sinn Féin at the age of 16. He was elected to Belfast City Council in 2011 and served as Lord Mayor of Belfast from 2011 to 2012.
Member of the Seanad
In 2016, o Donnghaile was elected to the Seanad Éireann, the upper house of the Irish parliament. He served as a member of the Seanad for eight years, during which time he was a vocal advocate for Irish reunification and social justice.
Standing Up for the North
Throughout his political career, o Donnghaile has been a strong advocate for the people of Northern Ireland. He has campaigned for equality, social justice, and an end to sectarianism. He has also been a vocal critic of British government policies in Northern Ireland.
Personal Life
O Donnghaile is married with two children. Outside of politics, he is a musician and plays the guitar and bass.
