Nichushkin: From KHL Castoff to NHL Star

Born in Chelyabinsk, Russia, in 1995, Nichushkin emerged as a prodigious talent at a tender age. In 2018, Nichushkin left the Stars to sign with the Colorado Avalanche. However, his time in Denver was plagued by injuries and a lack of offensive production. After two disappointing seasons, he was traded back to the Stars in 2020.

His return to Dallas has been a rousing success. Nichushkin has regained his old form and become an integral part of the Stars' top line alongside Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson. In the 2021-22 season, he set career highs with 25 goals and 34 assists, helping the Stars reach the Western Conference Finals.
