NRL Team lists




Team lists for Round 1 of the 2023 NRL season have been announced, with plenty of big names set to make their debuts in new colours.
Here's a look at all the team news ahead of this weekend's action:
Brisbane Broncos
The Broncos have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Adam Reynolds and Kurt Capewell among the big names to join the club. Reynolds will start at halfback, while Capewell will play in the second row.
Other new faces for the Broncos include Corey Paix, Te Maire Martin and Jordan Pereira.
Canberra Raiders
The Raiders have also been busy in the off-season, with Jamal Fogarty, Josh Papalii and Hudson Young among the players to sign with the club. Fogarty will start at halfback, while Papalii will be in the second row and Young will play at lock.
Other new faces for the Raiders include Brad Schneider, Jack Murchie and James Schiller.
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
The Bulldogs have made a number of changes to their squad this season, with Matt Burton, Reed Mahoney and Viliame Kikau among the big names to join the club. Burton will start at five-eighth, while Mahoney will be at hooker and Kikau will play in the second row.
Other new faces for the Bulldogs include Jake Averillo, Braidon Burns and Kyle Flanagan.
Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
The Sharks have been relatively quiet in the off-season, with Nicho Hynes the only major signing for the club. Hynes will start at halfback, replacing Shaun Johnson who has joined the Warriors.
Other new faces for the Sharks include Cameron McInnes, Nicholaus Rukavena and Connor Tracey.
Gold Coast Titans
The Titans have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Kieran Foran, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and David Fifita among the big names to join the club. Foran will start at halfback, while Fa'asuamaleaui will be in the second row and Fifita will play at lock.
Other new faces for the Titans include Sam Verrills, Will Smith and Aaron Schoupp.
Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
The Sea Eagles have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Anthony Milford, Moses Suli and Haumole Olakau'atu among the big names to join the club. Milford will start at five-eighth, while Suli will be on the wing and Olakau'atu will play in the second row.
Other new faces for the Sea Eagles include Kaeo Weekes, Lachlan Croker and Taniela Paseka.
Melbourne Storm
The Storm have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Ryan Papenhuyzen, Harry Grant and Cameron Munster among the big names to join the club. Papenhuyzen will start at fullback, while Grant will be at hooker and Munster will play at five-eighth.
Other new faces for the Storm include George Jennings, Reimis Smith and Nick Meaney.
Newcastle Knights
The Knights have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Jackson Hastings, Chris Heighington and Jirah Momoisea among the big names to join the club. Hastings will start at halfback, while Heighington will be in the second row and Momoisea will play at centre.
Other new faces for the Knights include Dom Young, Adam Elliott and Enari Tuala.
New Zealand Warriors
The Warriors have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Shaun Johnson, Te Maire Martin and Josh Curran among the big names to join the club. Johnson will start at halfback, while Martin will be on the wing and Curran will play in the second row.
Other new faces for the Warriors include Marata Niukore, Addin Fonua-Blake and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad.
North Queensland Cowboys
The Cowboys have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Jeremiah Nanai, Tom Gilbert and Chad Townsend among the big names to join the club. Nanai will start in the second row, while Gilbert will be on the wing and Townsend will play at halfback.
Other new faces for the Cowboys include Peta Hiku, Jack Bird and Griffin Neame.
Parramatta Eels
The Eels have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Josh Hodgson, Ryan Matterson and J'maine Hopgood among the big names to join the club. Hodgson will start at hooker, while Matterson will be in the second row and Hopgood will play at prop.
Other new faces for the Eels include Will Penisini, Jordon Taufua and Hayze Perham.
Penrith Panthers
The Panthers have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with James Fisher-Harris, Viliame Kikau and Matt Burton among the big names to leave the club. Sean O'Sullivan will start at halfback, while Jaeman Salmon will be on the wing and Stephen Crichton will play at centre.
Other new faces for the Panthers include Liam Martin, Chris Smith and Taylan May.
South Sydney Rabbitohs
The Rabbitohs have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Lachlan Ilias, Keaon Koloamatangi and Siliva Havili among the big names to join the club. Ilias will start at halfback, while Koloamatangi will be in the second row and Havili will play at prop.
Other new faces for the Rabbitohs include Joe Ofahengaue, Shaquai Mitchell and Dean Hawkins.
St George Illawarra Dragons
The Dragons have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Jack Bird, George Burgess and Andrew McCullough among the big names to join the club. Bird will start on the wing, while Burgess will be in the second row and McCullough will play at hooker.
Other new faces for the Dragons include Jaydn Su'A, Moses Suli and Moses Mbye.
Sydney Roosters
The Roosters have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Matt Lodge, Brandon Smith and Billy Smith among the big names to join the club. Lodge will start in the second row, while Smith will be at hooker and Smith will play at centre.
Other new faces for the Roosters include Angus Crichton, Joseph Suaalii and Luke Keary.
Wests Tigers
The Tigers have made a number of changes to their squad for this season, with Adam Doueihi, David Nofoaluma and James Tamou among the big names to join the club. Doueihi will start at fullback, while Nofoaluma will be on the wing and Tamou will play in the second row.
