The Trojans are entered, alongside the host Warriors, Carroll, Des Moines Lincoln, Des Moines Hoover, Des Moines North, Grinnell, Indianola and West Des Moines Valley.

This will be the Trojans' initially meet since partaking in the Council Bluffs Lewis Central Invitational in mid-October. It's been a restricted season for the group, with just six swimmers contending at the varsity level this season.

The primary spot finisher in every occasion, individual and transfer, consequently fit the bill for the state meet. For the state meet, 32 passages take an interest in every occasion, and for individual occasions, all swimmers who have fulfilled a passing guideline – the normal of the sixteenth spot time from the last five state meets in a given occasion – qualify too, with the remainder of the field controlled by the following quickest local occasions from swimmers not satisfying the state guideline. In transfers, the following 26 quickest times qualify.

While there was a sectional swim meet last season, there was no IHSA Girls State Swim Meet as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The IHSA permitted groups to support sectional meets, yet dropped the state meet, which was held yearly at the jam-stuffed natatoriums at New Trier or Evanston secondary schools. The current year's state meet is the first at the new, bigger FMC office in Westmont.

At Edwardsville's Saturday sectional, the host Tigers will be joined by 28 different schools. Last year, Edwardsville won the sectional title with 170 focuses. Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin was second with 63 focuses. Just groups from season-long groups can go after the group title.

Alton has four swimmers entered in two occasions each. Claire Paule will swim the 5-00-yard free-form and the 100 backstroke, Addison Kenney will swim the 200-yard free-form and the 100 butterfly, Ceci Parker is entered in the 50 free-form and 100 breaststroke and Riley Clancy will swim the 50 free-form and 100 free-form.

Different Redbirds swimmers will remember Kenzie Graham and Laura Schwank for the 200 individual mixture, Grace Middleton in the 100 free-form, Maddie Ingram the 200 free-form, Berlyn Clayton in the 500 free-form, Savannah Scheffel in the 100 backstroke and Lea Pohlman in the 100 breaststroke.

Alton's Scheffel, Pohlman, Caroline Stobbs and Maddie Ingram will swim the 200 mixture hand-off; Parker, Clancy, Addison Kenney and Paule will swim the 200 free-form transfer and the group of Paule, Clancy, Addison Kenney and Parker will swim the 400 free-form hand-off.

Marquette Catholic's Monica Wendle is entered in the 50 free-form and the 100 breaststroke. The Explorers' Marissa Statos will swim the 200 free-form.

Edwardsville, the seven-time sectional hero, will enter 10 swimmers entered in a sum of 16 individual occasions and three transfers.

Exclusively, Karis Chen will swim the 100 breaststroke, Lia Kempwerth the 500 free-form, Henley Mason the 200 free-form, Madelyn Milburn the 50 free-form and Ava Whitaker the 100 butterfly.
