Metro Councilwoman Nancy VanReece serves on a warning board called the Women's Professional Sports Initiative. It's looking for a specialist's assessment in drawing in an expert ladies' group - ball, hockey, soccer or quick pitch softball - to grow and call Nashville home.
The last expert's assessment is still out - however VanReece says she definitely realizes that Nashville can uphold it.
"You don't need to puzzle over whether we'd sell tickets, you saw the ladies' Final Four here and perceived how rapidly individuals slid on the city," VanReece said.
VanReece concedes she's inclined toward ladies' ball.
"At the point when you begin discussing Tennessee and Women's b-ball, its an easy decision, we realize how to do that, you can't specify ladies' b-ball in Tennessee without referencing Pat Summit and her heritage," VanReece said.
However, she says she's prepared to root for any expert group, in a city that she says is prepared to include the two people.
"The significant thing we improve, there's nothing more energizing than having this discussion as we approach the 50th commemoration of Title IX," VanReece said.
