Drivers Failed To Avert Tragedy

The man hopped off the scaffold at state Route 75 at 8:30 a.M. Saturday after different drivers pulled over and attempted to prevent him from hopping, the California Highway Patrol announced. 

The San Diego Harbor Police discovered the man in the water and delivered help until doctors from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department showed up and articulated him dead. The body was brought aground and surgeons were anticipating authorities from the district Medical Examiner's Office to show up. 

The man's name and age were not quickly delivered. 

In April 2020, Voice of San Diego revealed that around 400 individuals had lost their lives hopping from the extension since it opened in 1969.
