Dashing fans have another setting to partake in the game in Webster City, The vehicles might be somewhat more modest than those that run at the nearby half-mile soil track, yet the drivers and observers are similarly as enthused about the new track.

White Fox RC Speedway, situated at 402 White Fox Road, is intended for electric 1/tenth scale controller vehicles. The track was the brainchild of Mike Henely of Webster City. A companion of his family got Henely's child Brayden keen on dashing. For Christmas, Henley purchased Brayden a controller truck.

The family begun hustling at various tracks across the state.

"We began to meet heaps of individuals and make a ton of companions," Henely said.

Which began as a spot for his child to rehearse, has transformed into a speedway open to all who are keen on hustling RC vehicles.

Drivers line up along the track as they move their distant controlled-vehicles around the soil track at White Fox RC Speedway. The speedway will have its second day of dashing on Sunday.

Henley moved toward the City of Webster City about the chance of renting the land at 402 White Fox Road. The City Council supported the rent Aug. 16, with Henely consenting to pay the expenses on the property, risk protection and different expenses.

"From that time on, it took us 12 days to fabricate the track, and on the thirteenth day, we had our first race," Henely said. The race day was held Aug. 29, with the following meeting planned for Sunday, Sept. 5.

There's no charge for observers to watch the dashing activity, Henely said. Racers will pay a $5 section charge which assists with paying for the week after week prizes, he said.

The speedway has five classes — Eastside trains and radio controlled 21.5 road stock; Tin Temptations for amateurs and adolescents; Stein Heating and Cooling B Mods; Jones Rock and Dirt A Mods; and Karl Chevrolet of Webster City trucks.

That first day pulled in 38 racers from around the space, including drivers from Iowa Falls, Radcliffe, Madrid, Boone, Ames, Eagle Grove and Webster City. Victors in the classes from the Aug. 29 race include:

The soil track at White Fox RC Speedway required only 12 days to make and on the thirteenth day, the track opened up for far off controlled-vehicle hustling.
