Sea CITY, NJ — Cape May County has resumed its four district senior focuses, including the Howard S. Stainton Senior Center in Ocean City.

The focuses had been shut because of COVID-19 concerns.

The Cape May County Board of Commissioners and the Cape May County Division of Aging and Disability Services declared the reopenings on Thursday.

"We are so eager to see our seniors getting back to the focuses," said Mary E. Dozier, Executive Director of the Division. "We have tidied up the Senior Centers and coming this fall we are adding new and invigorating programming through an association with Stockton University."

The senior habitats offer day by day lunch and exercises like billiards, bingo, line moving, games, judo and mah-jongg.

"This is a significant day to have our senior places resumed," said Commissioner Jeff Pierson, contact to the Cape May County Division of Aging and Disability Services. "The pandemic has been challenging for everybody, except we are particularly glad to invite the local area back to our focuses."
