Fiji Men, New Zealand Women Perfect In Oceania Sevens Event 안전놀이터

TOWNSVILLE, Australia (AP) — Defending men's Olympic top dog Fiji and the New Zealand ladies' side were both undefeated in six matches at the Oceania Sevens competition, the last significant check up for the main groups heading into the Tokyo Olympics starting one month from now.

Regardless of playing at home, Olympic top dog Australia ladies lost to both New Zealand and Fiji and got done with a 3-3 record.

The Australian ladies lost 34-5 and 26-5 to New Zealand in their matches. Australia beat New Zealand 24-17 in the gold award last at Rio.

Australia ladies' lead trainer John Manenti said he saw a few encouraging points in the crew's presentation.

"We buckled down and made them buckle down for their attempts... We posed a couple of inquiries to them and most likely presumably ought to have asked a couple more," Manenti said.

In other ladies' matches Sunday, New Zealand beat Fiji 27-12, Australia crushed the Oceania Barbarians 32-7 and Fiji beat the Barbarians 14-12.

The Fijian men's side closed its ideal competition with a 33-5 success over the Oceania Barbarians on Sunday, trailed by a 17-7 success over New Zealand. In other Sunday men's matches, New Zealand beat Australia 17-5 and Australia crushed the Barbarians 28-12.

There will be 12 groups each in the rugby sevens contest at the Tokyo Games, with the men's competition being played from July 26-28 and the ladies' from July 29-31.

All matches will be played at Tokyo Stadium, which facilitated eight matches during the 2019 Rugby World Cup, including the bronze award last.
