Most yaretas live to be over 3000 years old

It lives in harsh climates.

It does not compete for resources with other plants.

They grow compactly to conserve the resources that they produce inside of the plant such as heat to survive long cold nights in the Atacama Desert.

Insects can pollenate using yaretas.
