Our Favorite and Easiest Filet Mignon Recipe

Filet mignon is a luxurious cut of beef that is often served at special occasions. It's tender, juicy, and flavorful, and can be cooked in a variety of ways. But don't let the fancy name fool you, filet mignon is actually very easy to cook. Here is our favorite and easiest filet mignon recipe:

Ingredients:
  • 1 (1-pound) filet mignon steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Pat the steak dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the steak for 2 minutes per side, or until browned.
  6. Transfer the steak to a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the steak reaches the desired doneness.
  8. Remove the steak from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips:
  • For a more flavorful steak, marinate it in your favorite marinade for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can check the doneness of the steak by pressing on it with your finger. The steak should be firm to the touch for rare, slightly firm for medium-rare, and firm for medium.
  • Serve the steak with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, asparagus, or a salad.
Enjoy!
