Panda Dogs China zoo

Have you ever heard of a panda dog? Nope, it's not a typo, and no, it doesn't mean a dog that looks like a panda. It's actually a breed of dog that pandas love!
In the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China, there are over a dozen panda dogs. The zookeepers have been raising them since 2006, and the dogs have become an integral part of the pandas' lives.
The dogs, which are a mix of Tibetan mastiffs and Tibetan spaniels, have a special relationship with the pandas. They play with them, cuddle with them, and even groom them. The pandas seem to enjoy the company of the dogs, and they often nap together in the shade.
"The dogs are very gentle and patient with the pandas," said Zhang Hemin, a zookeeper at the base. "They know how to play with them and how to make them happy."
The dogs also help take care of the pandas. They bark to alert the zookeepers if a panda is in distress, and they help to keep the pandas' enclosure clean.
"The dogs are a valuable part of the team here," said Zhang. "They help to make the pandas' lives happier and healthier."
Thanks to the panda dogs, the pandas at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding are living a life of luxury. They have everything they could ever want: food, water, shelter, and lots of love from their furry friends.
