Patriots Draft Picks 2024: A Look Ahead

Well folks, another NFL draft is in the books. The dust has settled, the ink has dried on the contracts, and now it's time to take a look ahead to the 2024 NFL draft. The Patriots had a solid draft this year, adding some much-needed talent to their roster. But there's always room for improvement, right?
Round 1
Will Levis QB Kentucky - It was an easy choice for the Patriots as there were no great players on the board and the Patriots could not afford to trade up as they only had one pick in each round of the draft, Levis is one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in college football. He has a strong arm, good mobility, and is a threat to run as well as throw. Levis has not played in the best system so he may need some coaching but he has the physical tools to be a franchise quarterback.
Round 2
Julius Brents CB Kansas State -Brents is a little boom or bust but is worth the 2nd round pick to find out. Brents is an athletic corner with good size and speed. He has a knack for making big plays and could be a valuable addition to New England's secondary.
Round 3
Adam Randall WR Clemson - One of the most productive receivers in college football, Randall is a big target with great hands who can high point the ball and go up and get it. He should be able to contribute right away in the slot, where his size and athleticism could make him a threat in the red zone and on third down.
Round 4
Joshua Josephs OT Tennessee -Josephs might be the steal of the draft for the Patriots. Josephs is a massive tackle who is a mauler in the run game but can hold his own in pass protection. He could be a starter in the future and should be a good addition to the Patriots' offensive line.
Round 5
Will Mallory TE Miami - Mallory is a big receiving threat at tight end that should be able to make an impact as a pass-catching tight end. He is an athletic tight end who can stretch the field and could also become a red-zone threat.
Round 6
Coen McAllister RB Tennessee - Will be a good receiving running back and could fill a role as a pass-catching back for the Patriots. McAllister is also a tough runner and could carve out a role as a short-yardage back, similar to James White.
Round 6
Steve Avila G New Mexico - Avila is another player who the Patriots may have gotten a great value for in the draft. Avila has great quickness off the snap and could start at guard for the Patriots in the future.
Round 7
Jaylon Jones CB Texas A&M - Jones is a long and physical corner. He has good size and length and will likely be able to play right away on special teams. He has some fluidity issues but nothing that should prevent him from being a quality depth piece.
The Patriots had a solid draft this year, but there's always room for improvement. With a few more additions, the Patriots could be a force to be reckoned with in 2024.
