Descriptive Map of Greater Perth, Western Australia for the Blind

Description of abstract map layout is important – i.e. coordinates 0,0 represent middle of Perth, coordinates of (-10,0) reference left side of map at a point due west of middle Perth.

Maybe I’ll think of how to describe the numeric grid that gives special reference to the points on the map.  Yes, I’ll work on that.

Main features: (off the top of my head)

Alphabetized list of suburbs with their map coordinates

Maybe a way to let the user enter two coordinates, i.e. (0,0) and have the program tell them that is a point coinciding with “middle Perth”.  I’m sure you can better clarify such things as the description of what I’m calling “Middle Perth”.

I’ll think about other possibilities maybe having to do with main roads, rivers, main population hubs etc.
