Pete was born in Forest Lake, Minnesota, in 1980. He grew up in a military family, and his father served in the Vietnam War. Pete attended St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, where he studied political science and history.
After college, Pete joined the Army National Guard. He served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Afghanistan.
In 2011, Pete left the military and began his career in journalism. He worked as a producer for Fox News and Fox Business Network. In 2014, he became a co-host of "Fox & Friends Weekend."
Pete is also an author. He has written several books, including "In the Arena: Good Citizens, a Great Republic, and How One Speech
Can Reinvigorate America" and "Modern Warriors: Real Stories from Real Heroes."
Pete is a passionate advocate for veterans. He is the co-founder of Vets For Freedom, a non-profit organization that provides support to veterans and their families.
