Procne Bitensky and the Case of the Missing Donut

I was sitting in the break room, enjoying my morning cup of coffee, when I heard a commotion. Procne Bitensky, the office's resident chatterbox, was in hysterics.
"My donut!" she wailed, her eyes wide with disbelief. "It's gone!"
I hurried over to her, trying not to laugh. Procne is a bit of a foodie, and her love of donuts is legendary.
"Calm down, Procne," I said with a soothing voice. "We'll find your donut."
We searched the break room high and low, but the donut was nowhere to be found. Just when we were about to give up, I spotted something under the vending machine.
"Procne!" I exclaimed. "Is this your donut?"
She squealed with delight. "Yes, it is! Oh, you saved my day!"
But as she reached for the donut, her expression changed. "Wait a minute," she said, her eyes narrowing.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"There's a bite mark in it!" she exclaimed. "Someone else has eaten my donut!"
We looked around the break room, but everyone was busy working. Procne was devastated.
"I can't believe this," she said. "I was so excited to have this donut."
I put my arm around her. "I know, Procne. It's not fair."
"I'm going to find the donut thief," she said, her jaw set.
Procne stormed out of the break room, her heels clicking on the floor. I followed her, wondering if she was serious.
She questioned every single person in the office, but no one seemed to know anything about the missing donut. Procne was getting frustrated.
"This is ridiculous," she said. "I'm going to check the security footage."
She went to the security office and spoke to the security guard. After a few minutes, she came out, a satisfied smirk on her face.
"I found the donut thief," she announced triumphantly.
"Who was it?" I asked.
She pulled out her phone and showed me a picture of herself. "It was me!"
"You ate your own donut?" I asked, stunned.
"Yes," she said, grinning. "I couldn't resist. I was just so excited to have it."
I couldn't help but laugh. Procne Bitensky, the office donut detective, had solved the case of the missing donut. And all this time, the donut thief had been herself.
