The Pyramids Football Club, often abbreviated as Pyramids FC, is an Egyptian professional football club based in the 6th of October City, Giza Governorate.
History:
Pyramids FC was founded in 2008 as Al Assiouty Sport, and they played their home matches in Asyut, a city in Upper Egypt. The club gained promotion to the Egyptian Premier League in 2014, but they were relegated back to the second tier after just one season.
In 2018, the club was acquired by Saudi Arabian businessman Turki Al-Sheikh, who renamed it Pyramids FC. He also invested heavily in the club, bringing in several high-profile players and appointing former Egypt national team manager Héctor Cúper as head coach.
Under Cúper's leadership, Pyramids FC quickly became a force to be reckoned with in Egyptian football. They won the Egypt Cup in 2019 and 2020, and they also finished as runners-up in the Egyptian Premier League in 2019-20 and 2020-21.
Recent Achievements:
In recent seasons, Pyramids FC has continued to perform well. They won the Egypt Cup for a third time in 2022, and they also qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup in 2023.
