Rainfall warning Ontario

Canadians rejoice, for the skies have finally opened up this weekend in our rainy province of Ontario. From the August winter we had in July, to the dry September we had in June, it's safe to say that our weather here has been a little wacky, which is why our Met Office, Environment Canada, has used this opportunity to issue a rainfall warning.

Warning: rainfall imminent.
Please seek shelter.
Prepare for danger.
The end is nigh.

Okay, maybe it's not that dire, but it's about to get a whole lot wetter, that's for sure.

Starting from today, Sunday, December 29th, rainfall warnings have been issued right across southern Ontario, however, don't worry, as this rain event isn't expected to be too bad.

The warnings stretch from Windsor all the way to Peterborough, and as far north as the Sudbury area. The rain is expected to taper off to drizzle by the end of the day, so all in all, this warning isn't looking too serious.

The government body that controls Canada's weather agency, Environment Canada, has advised Ontarians that the rainfall amounts could result in possible flooding and has cautioned residents to avoid driving through deep water because of the risk of aquaplaning.

Despite all that, it's actually pretty nice outside for the weekend, so enjoy it while it lasts because according to the weather forecast, the sun is returning tomorrow with clear skies.
