Real Madrid tops Sevilla, sets up Copa del Rey Semifinal Clash




Real Madrid secured a spot in the Copa del Rey semifinals with an impressive 3-1 victory over Sevilla on Thursday night at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

The 14-time Copa del Rey champions started the match strong and took an early lead through a stunning strike by Kylian Mbappé in the 10th minute.

Ten minutes later, Federico Valverde doubled Real Madrid's lead with a powerful shot from outside the box. Rodrygo added to the home side's advantage in the 34th minute, scoring from close range after a delightful cross from Karim Benzema.

Sevilla pulled one back just before halftime through a header from Isaac Romero, but Real Madrid held on for the win to book a place in the last four of the competition.

Sevilla will return to La Liga action on Sunday, when they host Real Betis in the Seville derby.
