Redblacks

The Ottawa Redblacks are a professional Canadian football team based in Ottawa, Ontario. They are members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Redblacks began play in 2014 and are the third CFL team to be based in Ottawa, after the Rough Riders (1898–1996) and the Renegades (2002–2005).

The Redblacks' home stadium is TD Place Stadium, which they share with the Ottawa Fury FC soccer team. The team's colours are red, black, and gold, and their logo features a stylized "R" with a football in the centre.

The Redblacks have a strong rivalry with the Toronto Argonauts, who are also based in the East Division. The two teams have met in the playoffs three times, with the Argonauts winning twice.

The Redblacks have had some success in their short history, winning the Grey Cup in 2016. They have also appeared in the Grey Cup game twice, losing to the Calgary Stampeders in 2017 and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019.

  • The Redblacks are one of the most successful expansion teams in CFL history.
  • The team has a strong following in Ottawa and has helped to revitalize the city's downtown core.
  • The Redblacks are a major part of the Ottawa sports scene and are one of the most popular teams in the city.

I am a big fan of the Redblacks and I am excited to see what the future holds for the team. I believe that the Redblacks have the potential to be a perennial contender for the Grey Cup.
