Richie English: A Limerick Legend Retires

When I heard the news that Richie English was retiring from inter-county hurling, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. I remember watching Richie play for Limerick as a young boy, and being in awe of his skill and athleticism. He was one of the most exciting hurlers to watch, and his retirement marks the end of an era for Limerick hurling.
Richie's career was full of highlights. He won five All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championships with Limerick, and was named an All-Star on four occasions. He was also a key member of the Limerick team that won the Munster Senior Hurling Championship in 2018.
Off the field, Richie is a humble and down-to-earth guy. He is always willing to give his time to help others, and he is a great role model for young people. He is a true gentleman of the game, and he will be sadly missed by the Limerick hurling community.
I want to thank Richie for all the great memories he has given us over the years. He has been an inspiration to me, and to many other young hurlers. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
"Thank you, Richie. You will always be a Limerick legend."
