Growing up in a small town, I always felt like an outsider. I was the only one who looked like me, and I often felt like I didn't belong. But everything changed when I discovered drag.

Drag is a form of performance art in which people dress up in the clothing and makeup of the opposite sex. It's a way to express yourself and to challenge gender norms. When I first started doing drag, I was terrified. I was afraid of what people would think of me. But once I got on stage, I felt like a new person. I felt confident and powerful, and I knew that I had found my calling.

Drag has taught me so much about myself. It's taught me to be more confident, to be more creative, and to be more open to new experiences. It's also taught me the importance of community. The drag community is a supportive and loving group of people who are always there for each other.

I'm so grateful for the drag community. It's given me a place where I can belong, and it's helped me to become the person I am today. If you're ever feeling lost or alone, I encourage you to give drag a try. It might just change your life.

Here are a few tips for getting started in drag:

  • Find a drag mentor. A drag mentor can help you learn the basics of drag, and they can also provide you with support and encouragement.
  • Create a drag persona. Your drag persona is your alter ego, so it's important to create a character that you're comfortable with and that you can express yourself through.
  • Practice, practice, practice. Drag takes practice, so be patient and don't give up if you don't get it right the first time.
  • Find a drag community. The drag community is a supportive and loving group of people who are always there for each other.
  • Have fun! Drag is supposed to be fun, so don't take yourself too seriously. Just relax and enjoy the experience.

I hope these tips help you get started in drag. I can't wait to see what you create!
