Ruto appoints

President William Ruto has appointed a number of individuals to key positions in his government. The appointments, which were announced in a gazette notice on Friday, include:

• Patrick Osero as the chairperson of the Kenya Medical Research Institute
• Michael Ngugi as the chairperson of the Kenya Institute of Public Policy Research and Analysis
• Phoebe Asiyo as the chairperson of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights

Ruto said that the appointments were made on the basis of merit and that he was confident that the individuals appointed would serve the country with distinction.
