Salman Khan: The Bhai of Bollywood
Salman Khan is one of the most popular and successful actors in Bollywood, with a career spanning over three decades. He has starred in over 100 films and has won numerous awards, including two National Film Awards and ten Filmfare Awards.
Khan was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, on December 27, 1965. He is the son of Salim Khan, a screenwriter, and Sushila Charak, a homemaker. Khan has two brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, and two sisters, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Arpita Khan Sharma.
Khan began his acting career in 1988 with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi. He had his first major success in 1994 with the film Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, which became one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time. Khan went on to star in a number of successful films in the 1990s and 2000s, including Karan Arjun (1995), Judwaa (1997), Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), and Tere Naam (2003).
In recent years, Khan has continued to star in successful films, including Dabangg (2010), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), and Sultan (2016). He is also the host of the popular reality show Bigg Boss.
Khan is known for his larger-than-life personality and his charitable work. He is the founder of the Being Human Foundation, which provides support to the underprivileged.
Khan has been involved in a number of controversies throughout his career, including a hit-and-run case in 2002 and a blackbuck poaching case in 1998. However, he remains one of the most popular and successful actors in Bollywood.
