Sarah Burton Givenchy




Sarah Burton is a British fashion designer who has been the creative director of the French luxury fashion house Givenchy since 2017. She is the first female creative director of the brand.
Burton was born in Macclesfield, England, in 1974. She studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, where she graduated in 1997. After graduating, she worked as an assistant to Alexander McQueen for nine years. In 2007, she became the head of design for Givenchy.
Burton's designs for Givenchy are often characterized by their use of black and white, as well as their exploration of the themes of love and loss. She has also been praised for her ability to create both elegant and wearable clothing.
Burton has received numerous awards for her work, including the British Fashion Award for Designer of the Year in 2011. She was also named one of the most influential people in fashion by Time magazine in 2017.
Burton is married to photographer David Sims, and they have two children. She lives and works in London.
