School opening postponed

The first day of school was supposed to be yesterday, but it was postponed. It was supposed to be the first day of my senior year, but now I have to wait another week. I'm not sure why I'm so disappointed. I mean, I'm not exactly a fan of school. But something about the first day of school always gets me excited. Maybe it's the new clothes, or the new school supplies, or the chance to see my friends again.
This past weekend, I made a list of all the things I was looking forward to about the first day of school. I was looking forward to seeing my friends, and I was looking forward to my English class. I was looking forward to getting back into a routine and starting fresh.
But now that the first day of school has been postponed, I don't know what to do with myself. I'm not sure if I should be studying for my classes, or if I should just relax. I'm not sure if I should be hanging out with my friends, or if I should just stay home.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I'm so relieved. I'm so glad that the school opening has finally been set. I can't wait to go back to school. I can't wait to see my friends. I can't wait to start learning again.
