Science olypiad

Science Olympiad is a national level organised  Science olypiad   to test the conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, laboratory skills, and the ability to apply problem-solving skills to new situations, both theoretical and practical. This exam is held every year at nearly 1400 schools across the country and culminates with the international Olympiads at different corners of the world.

Science Olympiad exams aim to enhance the scientific outlook among students. It also strives to strengthen the quality of science education, boost students' interest in science with engaging and interesting practical questions rather than theory.

Science Olympiads aims to bring out the best in a student while instilling an in-depth knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts. The questions asked are tricky and conceptual which helps students gain a broader and thorough understanding of the topic. These exams also aid in cultivating analytical thinking among young learners.

Olympiad exams 2021 or Olympiads  2021 are academically crucial competitive exams for students to compete with other students on an equal educational grade. Olympiad exams improve the learning skills in subjects like mathematics, science, computer technology or English language among young learners. An Olympiad exam critically helps students examine their strengths and weaknesses based on their performance in the nationwide or international level examination. These exams deliver an complete assessment of students’ knowledge and also  encourage them to grow academically. The participating students are evaluated based on their scientific-reasoning and logical-ability.

Olympiad exams are conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) which is a non-profit organisation that functions to foster scientific attitude among students. SOF conducts a number of Olympiads including:

• National Science Olympiad (NSO)–The National Science Olympiad aims to foster a scientific outlook among students.

• National Cyber Olympiad (NCO)- The National Cyber Olympiad attempts to instill fundamental knowledge in Cyber concepts among students from an early age.

• International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)- The International Mathematics Olympiad aspires to test the mathematical ability of students.

• International English Olympiad (IEO) – The International English Olympiadhelps students' assess their command over the English language.

• International Company Secretaries Olympiad (ICSO)- The International Company Secretaries Olympiadprepare students for higher examination by testing their knowledge in Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy and Quantitative analysis reasoning.

• International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO) – The International General Knowledge Olympiadhelps in developing genuine interest in General Knowledge and current affairs so as to help a student’s all-round development.

Science Olympiad Foundation is an academic organisation that promotes the scholastic development of students and facilitates them in honing their skills in the right direction. The main objective of the Science Olympiad Foundation is

nurture scientific outlook among students through several competitions and Olympiads. It endeavours to cherry pick and encourage young scholars who aim to become future scientists, IT professionals, and other experts.

Since two decades, the organisation has been attempting to foster scientific temperament among young aspiring minds through innovative activities.

The SOF Olympiad exams are exclusively for school students. Only those students enrolled in Classes 1 - 12 can attempt the Olympiad. Besides, it must also be noted that there exists hardly any requirement for minimum marks or any other such criterion. Each SOF Olympiad exam caters to a particular group of students.
