Oldest living Welwitschia

I had to do a science projest and I chose this plant because it looks like a sad lump of nothing. This is the oldest living one, at 2,000 year old.

It was found in the Namib Nau Kluft Desert, in Nowuibia.

They can live so long because they can grow their leaves back when animals eat them, they can survive from dew and mist, and It is a "living fossil" from the Jurassic period. This plant's leaves can be eaten by rhinos and gazelles during droughts, and the soft part of the plant, but it grows back.
